Installation on a web server

Upload the directory "GN13777W" onto your web server, and place a link to the file "worldcup2002.htm" from the relevant page or frame on your web site. Alternatively, place the individual Flash movies into your web pages.

Configuring a web server for Flash

When a Flash file is accessed on a web server, the server must properly identify it as a Flash Player file in order to display properly. If the MIME type is missing or not properly delivered by the server, the browser might display error messages or a blank window with a puzzle piece icon.

To ensure that visitors can see the movie, the server administrator must add the Flash Player MIME types to the server's configuration files and associate these MIME types with the Flash Player file extensions. The relevant MIME types and suffixes are:

MIME type application/x-shockwave-flash application/futuresplash

Suffix .swf .spl

If you are administering your own server, consult your server software documentation for instructions on adding or configuring MIME types. If you are not administering your own server, contact your Internet service provider, webmaster, or IT department and ask them to add the MIME type information.

If your site is on a Macintosh server, you must also set the following parameters:
Action: Binary
Type: SWFL
Creator: SWF2

Translation into other languages

A file called "Editable" is included as an attachment for those who wish to translate relevent Flash movies, banners and gifs into their own language. Files are in Photoshop 6 or Flash 4 format.
